Food from the sea you can't beat it.
This has to be my favorite pastime during the summer months when the wind drops in the swell drops the fish come out play.
I used to rod fish for years and years, I really enjoyed it but i was never very successful at it. since I started spearfishing it has changed drastically. Spearfishing has to be the most eco-friendly and sustainable way of fishing.
It is also a fantastic way to train your lungs and body and mind.
As a few nights dinner on the table.
4 mullet , 1 Bass , 1 Plaice.
over 20 pounds of fish.

Summer Here. Honestly...!!
Summers here.!!!
We are really starting to see a great lengthening in the day everyone seems to be just itching to hit the water.
We have had some amazing conditions lately and we have been really lucky with swell for this time of year.
I have been a little lazy with the old camera but their is something coming in the pipe line that will change all that. Hopefully it will arrive very soon.
Helping tow hitch.
Blue blue Skies
Self lunching
Birds i view.
Busting through.
Smack
Floater
setting up for the hit
And then the fog came in.
And then the fog came in.

Alan O Riordan 1st kitesurfing Lessons.
One of Kerry's top Surfers gave kitesurfing a go yesterday. Alan O Riordan form AOR surf baords.
It was a great day for lessons with blue skies and clean wind form the NW.
We started the lesson in the Shop in Castlegergroy and then moved on to the Cut up on the Maherrers.
Daniel was also doing the lessons with us today they both did really really well.
Here are some pics.
Al setting up the 2.5m Ozone Uno trainer kite.
Last safety talk through the bar.
Al full committed and getting ready to take control of the Uno .
The perfect first launch, with daniel holding the kite ready to go. Sorry but the bloody Battery died. I can tell you that both guys took to water and had great fun getting draged around by the kite. We also moved up to a 6m Catalyst. Lets just say they are not kitesurfer s yet. But the first board starts are not far away.
But i did manage to get a shot of the sun set.

KSP Tour Coming to Ireland.
What the KSP have to Say about ireland.
"Irelands marine climate leans towards having the most wind in autumn/winter time, encouraged by anticyclones across the Atlantic. These conditions provide huge swell with plenty of wind across these months, which bring incredible conditions for kitesurfing.
